Visit from high school students of VIBGYOR Group of Schools
We recently conducted an impactful school awareness and sensitization program for the high school students of VIBGYOR Group of Schools Electronic City, Bangalore. This session focused on educating students about disabilities, the appropriate terminologies to use, and the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, with a special emphasis on intellectual disabilities. The session was conducted in school followed by their visit to Asha Niketan Bangalore.
During the session, we also conducted a simulation exercise, allowing students to experience first-hand the difficulties faced by individuals with disabilities. This hands-on approach helped deepen their understanding and empathy.
Our goal is to foster a more inclusive and empathetic society, starting with our young learners. By raising awareness and understanding, we aim to break down barriers and create a supportive environment for everyone.
We are committed to continuing our work with educational institutes, including schools and colleges, to spread awareness and knowledge about disabilities. Together, we can make a difference!
